So, apparently we have a serial killer on the loose in Bethesda's land of the North and some of you can't help but censor that which need not be censored. Even with a few bugs hampering the experience, some intrepid gamers have been making their own fun in Skyrim.
First, via G4, we have this admittedly pretty funny video of someone adding bleeps to good old, run-of-the-mill dialog from the fairly tame RPG script. YouTube user NormalDifficulty knows that a carefully placed bleep can make even the most innocuous piece of dialog sound positively filthy.
Hey, you guys, most of the bleeps are supposed to stand in for jokes about penises, I think.
What? Okay, it's not exactly Withnail and I, but sometimes you have to laugh at a well-placed, implied wiener joke.
Next up, YouTube user Symixable answers the wholly unasked question: "What if a Buffalo Bill-type was really into open world RPGs?" With the ominously titled "Skyrim sex life," we get the wholly unnerving answer: lots of dead video game ladies in their underwear carefully arranged around someone's tastefully-appointed home and a shelf full of severed heads.
That slight shudder you feel is something quietly dying inside of the Internet.
Symixable's video feels even more unnerving when you look at the rest of his (or her) YouTube channel which has: an abstract video featuring the only funny lines of dialog from the Coen brothers' remake of The Ladykillers, a bizarre mashup of Jim Carrey's old female boldybuilder character from In Living Color and something called "Waffles Bro," and a tasteful time-lapse video of Skyrim.
So what kind of crazed shenanigans have you people been up to in Skyrim? Who's going to up the ante here and creep us all the way out?
